my personal fasting tips!

liquid fasts

  • set a drinkable calorie limit (i recommend 500)
  • drink fizzy, low/zero cal drinks
  • coffee/tea with honey or creamer (or milk alternatives)
  • zero cal mints/candies you can suck on (i recommend halls defense vitamin c drops)
  • soups without solids are allowed (ex, tomato)
  • apple sauce is allowed (unsweetened only)
  • peanut butter, nutella, etc, are not allowed
  • no “negative cal foods” (ex, celerie) unless you really need it
  • caffeine, if you can handle caffeine (don’t do if you’re sensitive to it)
  • spoonful of a condiment (i know, a little weird, but i like having spoonfuls of hot sauce when i’m having a savory/spicy craving)
  • low cal fruit juice/v8 (low sodium)

zero cal fasts

  • lots of water
  • tea/coffee with zero cal sweetener (or plain)
  • zero cal candies
  • if you feel faint, eat a spoonful of honey, then continue with zero calories
  • fizzy zero cal drinks (bubly, la croix)
  • spoonful of specific condiments (hot sauce, soy sauce) to eliminate cravings
  • gum (zero sugar)
  • lots of naps
  • lemon water/lemon tea
